The large VESTA LEGION LINEAR chandelier by Schwung Home combines contemporary architectural design with the timeless elegance of solid brass. Ten vertically fluted brass cylinders, each fitted with two sockets, are arranged asymmetrically in a linear composition, creating a striking sculptural centrepiece.
The finely ribbed surface of the cylinders creates a captivating sense of depth. Depending on the viewing angle and the incidence of light, subtle highlights and shadows emerge, accentuating the clean architectural lines and giving the chandelier a distinctive visual presence.
Despite its impressive dimensions, the chandelier conveys a remarkable sense of lightness and elegance. Its slender suspension system allows it to appear almost weightless, drawing attention to the harmonious arrangement of the vertically positioned light elements. The result is a sophisticated balance of functional illumination and sculptural design.
With its elongated silhouette, the VESTA LEGION LINEAR is ideally suited for illuminating large dining tables, kitchen islands, conference tables, and reception areas. Since 2014, this lighting manufacturer has caused a sensation not only in its home country but also among US designers with its timeless and unusual designs. The two young designers and founders of the company, Dominique Sente from Belgium and Rudi Nijssen from the Netherlands, say that they create "forms influenced by our passion, which seek and find a balance between technical and aesthetic solutions". Handmade in Europe, the lamps are made of solid brass. The glass spheres are made of very high-quality hand-blown borosilicate glass, thin and light like soap bubbles, but resistant and strong like laboratory glass. This extraordinary glass, also called Jena glass in this country, ensures both a stylish presence in a classically modern ambience and pleasant room lighting. Most of the swing lighting is compatible with dimmers and comes with extension rods so that it can be adapted to different room heights. On request, all Schwung lights can be made UL-listed 110–130 V.
