Group of seven porcelain suspended luminaires FIN 7
by Original BTC

Item No. CL2505   BTC# FP550N/7

Description

Seven porcelain lamps are suspended in a group from a common ceiling canopy: a fascinating lighting solution and an eye-catcher for all rooms.

In the switched off state, the porcelain shades appear pure white and opaque, where the refined structure is brought into the decorative focus. As soon as the lights are switched on, the fascinating overall effect of the interplay of light and shadow is revealed, caused by the warm, translucent properties of bone china combined with the folded structure of the surface.

The height graduation of the pendant luminaire group can be changed according to individual preferences.

About the manufacturer

Genuine craftsmanship, highest material quality and timeless design for the modern living room – that is what the name Original BTC stands for. Three different materials, which are processed in their own factories in England, characterize the luminaires of this manufacturer: lamp reflectors in spun aluminium, prismatic holophane glass shades (which are traditionally spread in Anglo-Saxon space) and the recent trademark of delicate porcelain called "Bone China" – a high-quality porcelain which is given its special strength and light colour by the addition of bone ash. The material is opaque white, but becomes translucent when lit and is considered to be the best and noblest kind of porcelain.

In order to be able to produce these porcelain pieces in the good old quality, the company founder, Peter Bowles, took over a manufacturing facility in Stoke-on- Trent, which was threatened of closure. Bowles, who originates from a traditional family of merchants and designers, had already established a factory for cookware in Sheffield and sold more than a million products before concentrating on the BTC lamps in 1990. Original BTC lamps are now found in the best addresses worldwide.

As longtime authorized reseller we are proud to supply the complete product range from the Original BTC Catalogue.
