About the manufacturer

Pandul from Denmark is the licensed manufacturer of a collectioni of classic, modern lamps with designs from the most renowned danish designer, sculptors and architects of the second half of the 20th century. These timeless lights are now regarded as modern design classics; vintage items from the 1960s and 1970s (then manufactured by famous scandinavian companies like Fog & Mørup and Louis Poulsen) are sold for enormous sums today.

The company Pandul was created during the development of the  lighting series "Tip Top" and "VIP" by Prof. Jørgen Gammelgaard (1938–1991). Later on, "The Pendant" and "Opala"-series by Hans J. Wegner (1914–2007) as well as „Ring“ and „Uplight“ by Erik Magnussen (1940–2014) joined the range. Since 2010, the world famous "BUBI Lamp" by designer and sculptor Henning Koppel (1918–1981) joined the carefully curated range of re-editions by Pandul.

According to the slogan "Classic, modern Lamps", all Pandul lights stand out by their very timeless appeal: you can not exactly identify whether it was designed four years or four decades ago. Like much good music these classic designs have no age. Some of the ideas have been regarded futuristic, being born from the "Space Age" zeitgeist and the new material Polycarbonate, which was inspiring designers around the globe, added to this notion. Polycarbonate is more impact and heat resistant than acrylic glass and is being used with many of the Pandul lights as an opal glossy white diffuser shade, in "Opala" and "BUBI" for example.

Alle Pandul lamps are meticolously handcrafted in Denmark and are usually available wet painted in various colours. Custom modifications are available on request.
